Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The key factor in the investigator's activity in the criminal proceedings process is the investigation of the criminal's personality, the learning of a complex of psychological features that serve as a starting point for committing a criminal offence, the identification of individual psychological characteristics, due to which under the current circumstances, he acted in a criminal manner in order to achieve his goal. The decision of an indi-vidual to commit illegal actions is caused by stimulating motives, where the subjective perception, evaluation of the external environment forms an acceptable method for him to achieve a criminal result. The characteristic features of common types of criminogenic personality should be taken into consideration when identifying pat-terns of criminal behavior. The complex of information related to characteristics of the individual's mental activity both at the stage of preparation and during the commission of a crime, if the investigator has appropriate knowledge in the sphere of criminalistics and psychology (in their interrelation), contributes to the development of the most effective methods of detection and solution of crime.
