The author of the given article offers the definitions of the concepts of "advertis-ing" and "discourse", points out the fact that advertisements can be presented in text and graphic formats, says that forensic linguistic examination is designed to estab-lish the presence or absence of words in such advertisements related to the seman-tic field "drugs", examines its core, perinuclear zone and periphery, considers the slang meaning of certain words to be found in advertisements as well as identifies communicative strategies and tactics to be implemented in advertising of narcotic drugs. The author also notes that exclamatory syntactic text constructions to be found in the analyzed advertisements are a means of disguised suggestion and their ele-ments are absorbed by the addressee inconspicuously.
