The effectiveness of the activity of law enforcement agencies is the subject of constant public attention, and its indicator is the public safety of citizens, the ability to exercise their rights and freedoms, the level of detection of crimes. One of the strategic resources of the life of modern society is forensically significant information. The forensic registration system is one of the main information resources used in crime detection, investigation and prevention. To identify directions of increase of efficiency of the current system, an analysis of the current state of the effectiveness of using the accounts of the forensic registration system was carried out. In the course of the study, a set of methodological problems was identified, taking into account which the key directions for the development of forensic registration as a doctrine and as areas of practical activity were determined. The activities of law enforcement agencies largely depend on the completeness, reliability and quality of information, the timeliness of its provision to law enforcement entities. The quality of information depends on the methods of processing the initial registration data in order to obtain new knowledge about the crime event. Analytical processing of documentary and factographic data on the crime event is aimed at obtaining orientation and search information necessary for the disclosure, investigation and prevention of crimes. The analytical information product has a special place in the information and reference support system, since its receipt is associated with the processing of source data. The implementation of various methods of analytical processing of data of cumulative checks of objects and traces by accounts helps to establish the missing information about the crime event. Improving the efficiency of solving and investigating crimes requires solving organizational, methodological, tactical and technical-forensic tasks related to the processing of criminally significant information about crime events. End-to-end analytical processing is represented by the operation of the metasearch system.
