RUSSIAN MILITIA IN THE MIRROR OF PUBLIC OPINION

Abstract (English):
The level of the Volgograd population confidence in militia and other governmental bodies is determined on the basis of the results of the sociological research. The main reasons exerting influence upon forming militia’s negative image are pointed out. The main mass media sources influencing the public opinion about militia are picked out. The factors allowing to improve the Russian militia’s image are determined and analyzed.
