The article deals with the main trends of general social prevention of female crime taking account of the peculiarities of the personality of women living in the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation. The classification of preventive measures is based on their content and timeline of implementation. Legal, social, economic, political, ideological, cultural, and organizational-management measures are considered as integral parts of the system of general social prevention of female crime.
