Since the establishment of the investigative unit in the internal affairs agencies issues of joint activities of investigators and officers of operational units in solving crimes and the investigation of criminal cases were widely reported in the legal literature. However, to date not resolved all the problems associated with the organization of the joint activities of the most important subjects of the internal affairs agencies, - the investigative and operational units, the effective operation of which depends largely on the success in the fight against crime. Such cooperation is impossible without a clear definition of the role and place these entities in the events held on the criminal case. At the same time, they are separate entities, is not subordinate to each other. All of this is the urgent need to coordinate their work and interaction. According to the authors, you can solve this problem by creating a detailed regulation of investigatory-operative groups and the organization of joint operational activity, strengthening the coordinating functions of department heads, as well as the introduction to the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation of some changes.
