The article discusses the main elements of the Institute of the property status of the persons sentenced to deprivation of liberty, the concept and content of property rights of this category of citizens. The issues of property of the legal status of prisoners emphasizes mainly from the point of view of criminal and criminal-Executive relations, but issues of civil-legal relations of prisoners. Civil legal status of convicted persons is regulated by norms civil, criminal, criminal Executive and other legislation, which cannot but create some difficulties for the application of the law.
