The article contemplates issues of organization of juveniles’ rights protection by investigation of crimes committed by juvenile delinquents or whereby juveniles are victimized, conducted by the Investigative Department of Zabaikalsky region. As a result of a complicated socio-economic situation in the aforementioned region a high crime rate has been detected over the period of a number of years. The causes for this high crime rate being as follows: - negative socio-economic living conditions and high unemployment rate; - unfavourable dynamics of core indicators of socio-economic development; - considerable socio-proprietary differentiation of the population. This in its turn leads to deterioration of moral and psychological climate in the society; asocial phenomena are spreading amongst the young.
