Theory of operative-detective activity is one of the branches of system of the criminal law sciences to serve criminal court proceedings. Therefore, it has to integrate achievements of criminal law sciences in itself. The article examines the operative-detective characteristics of crimes as an independent element of criminal law sciences. Operative-detective characteristics as an element of the general theory of criminal law sciences should be involved in the issues to be proved in the criminal case. As an illustration, operative-detective characteristics of the organized groups activities committing vehicle theft are considered.
