This article reviews issues on material collection for pre-investigation check based on crimes covered by articles 193 (avoidance of repatriation obligation of funds in foreign currency or currency of the Russian Federation) and 193.1 (currency transactions related to transfer of funds in foreign currency or currency of the Russian Federation into accounts of non-residents using false documents) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Subjects and collaboration of appropriate authorities with currency control bodies and agents were under review. The most common models of funds transfers abroad as well as their description are presented herein, court and investigation practice cases are also provided. The main activities of authorized persons are presented towards collection of data required for lawful and grounded decision to be taken to open a criminal investigation based on crimes caused by unlawful transfer and non-return of funds to the Russian Federation. List of appropriate documents reflecting the circumstances of conclusion and implementation of a transaction is also provided.
