Abstract:
Reaching a certain stage in life, we make a pause, analyze its events, and understand we have succeeded. It gives us an opportunity to move forward. The personal experience of veterans in the internal affairs agencies is a valuable resource, formed at the intersection of everyday service and life's knowledge. This article deals with information related to Alexander Georgievich Yegorov, a Professor, who celebrated his 80th birthday on June 28, 2025. It presents some facts on the young soldier and later a successful general service, including in the internal affairs agencies. Being a veteran of the Ministry of the Interior and the Volgograd Academy of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia, whose professional activities have made a significant contribution to the forensic science profession, he is one of the country's leading experts in forensic ballistics and ballistic examination sphere. Based on archival materials, interviews, and official documents, this article analyzes and reconstructs Professor A. G. Yegorov life, including his motivation to choose his profession, his success in career and public activities, as well as his professional experience and skills. Presented information reveals the role of a specific individual in serving the Fatherland, training highly qualified specialists for the internal affairs agencies, and shows the connection between individual experience and the collective memory of the branch.
