For better understanding of such a legal category as discretion the comprehensive analysis is required. This analysis includes the consideration of classification issues i.e. distinguishing of different types of discretion. It is possible to consider the following criteria of distinguishing of types of discretion: by the sphere of human activities, by the subject of discretion, by the type of legal activities, by the form of implementation, by the subject of law enforcement, by the sphere of juridical activities, by the type of interaction with the external environment.
