The article is devoted to the issues of short-distance shot range finding according to morphology of additional shot traces left when shooting from 9 mm Beretta mod. 1934 handgun. The authors give the characteristics of short-distance shot traces at a range from 0 cm (potshot) to 200 cm on the basis of experimental research.
