The article is devoted to the issues of short-distance shot range finding according to morphology of additional shot traces left as a result of shooting from 7,62 mm Dragunov sniper rifle. The authors give the characteristics of short-distance shot traces at a range from 0 cm to 300 cm on the basis of experimental research.
