The article focuses on the problems and ways of development of law-making psychology. The author analyzes research works of Russian and foreign scientists, legal scholars and psychologists in this sphere. The special attention is paid to the research of psychological principles (general and special) at different stages of law-making. The author determines the subject matter and content of law-making psychology as theoretically applied direction of legal psychology, introduces the concept of «law-making psychology» and gives reasons for advisability of distinguishing it as theoretically applied direction (restricted theory) of legal psychology research. In the author’s opinion, law-making psychology has certain objectives providing the development of scientific conceptions and psychotechnologies as well as recommendations on improving the efficiency of these activities.
