Abstract (English):
The article focuses on the topical issues of using special knowledge of officers of expert criminalistic subdivisions of the Ministry of Interior of Russia when investigating transport crimes, traffic accidents and crashes. The authors distinguish some certain problems arising during the investigation as well as the ways to improve this sphere of police activity by means of metallography and up-to-date computer technologies.
