The article focuses on some peculiarities of detection of the organizer and participants of a criminal gang when investigating crimes committed by them. The authors point out the main investigative situations and tactical techniques of the conduct of investigative actions aimed at establishing the circumstances of the commission of a crime and detecting the organizer and participants of a criminal gang. The interrogation of suspects and the accused is distinguished as the most important and complicated investigative action when investigating the organization of a criminal gang. The authors give recommendations on how to organize and conduct the investigation of crimes committed by criminal gangs.
