The article is devoted to the problem of dealing with production and consumption waste in the Volgograd region. The authors point out that the issue of waste collection, storage and reclamation is of current concern in the Volgograd region. They offer to refer to the positive experience of a series of countries of the European Union (Germany, France, and the Netherlands) in the sphere of solid household waste segregation and recycling as well as to the profound study of Russian legislative acts.
