The article focuses on the problems of reforming internal affairs bodies in modern Russia. Special attention is paid to evaluating the modern reform of the Ministry of Interior by the Russian population. The authors emphasize the first results of the reform and its evaluation by the expert community as well as by ordinary citizens. The article represents the results of the empirical sociological surveys conducted with the authors’ participation.
