The article shows on the problems of the definition of crimes in illicit traffic of a plastic cards based on the analysis of existing legislation. The author explores the concept of «plastic, bank and other payment cards», «sale of counterfeit credit and debit cards», «payment document», taking into account the changes that have occurred in the national payment system. Offers a ways out of the situation, to improve the performance of the Ministry of Interior of Russia detection and investigation of crimes in illicit traffic of plastic cards.
