This article represents the results of researches focused on the study of the non-standard equipment application method efficiency while holding practical physical training classes in higher education institutions of the Russian Internal Affairs Ministry. The non-standard equipment, up-to-date accessories, as well as the methods for their application provide great advantages over typical means and methods of training. In particular, there is an opportunity to include a larger number of exercises facilitating accelerated mastering of the discipline-related program into the educational training process for cadets of the Internal Affairs Ministry. The need for the introduction of the non-standard equipment into the police officers’ training process is caused by a negative operational situation in the country. The existing class holding practice in the field of physical training in higher education institutions of the Russian Internal Affairs Ministry provides no standard classification of applicable technical means facilitating the best and technically correct research and improvement of attacking and protective actions applied by police officers while performing official duties. The obtained data can be used as a line of scientific researches to increase the physical training level of cadets and students of higher education institutions of the Russian Internal Affairs Ministry.
