The article discusses the types of property of religious organizations. An emphasis is given to the notion of a religious property in terms of the Law on transfer of a religious purposes property, as the basis for transferring the requested property to the religious organization is an original construction of real-estate property subjected to transferring to a religious organization, with a view to implement and (or) provide specific activities of religious organizations. The aim is to classify the property of religious organizations, depending on its purpose. Not every property of religious organizations is used for religious purposes. Religious organizations may own a religious property and other property as well, to indicate that the author recommends using the concept «general stores of a religious organization» and gives the author's definition of this concept. As the regulations still have no clear criteria to distinguish between religious property from another kind of property, the results can be used by practitioners to differentiate religious property from another kind of property of religious organizations.
