Mistakes made in the conduction of legal proceedings such as an investigative inspection, search and seizure, have a highly detrimental effect on the quality of a criminal investigation. The article describes the typical criminal procedure, organizational and tactical mistakes made by investigators in the production of these investigative actions aimed at discovery and taking out of material objects. In her presentation of the individual causes of investigative errors, author draws attention to the fact that the excess of the norms of departure of an investigative team to a crime scene during their day duty and failure to take action to create additional groups is not conducive to high-quality work at a crime scene. The article also describes the issues related to the engaging of a specialist, an attesting witness, and other persons to participate in these investigative actions. Author also analyzes the disadvantages of using of additional means of fixation of results of investigative actions aimed at the detection and taking out of material objects and suggests some methods of prevention and correction of the discussed above errors.
