Article is devoted to a current state and prospects of development of migration Indicator of productivity of activity of public authorities is ability to assess a migratory situation, to develop ways of its decision. Article is devoted to a current state and prospects of development of migration policy, improvement of position of foreign citizens in Russia. In article negative and positive sides of the phenomenon of migration from the political and social and economic points of view are considered. Illegal migration is direct threat of national security of Russia, to its international interests and the status. In article legislation suggestions for improvement in the field, offers on reduction of an expenditure of budgetary funds, and also other measures for the purpose of optimization of stay of migrants in the territory of the Russian Federation are made.
