In this article the authors speculate on ways of education quality and effectiveness improvement, reveal scientific and educational value of academic discipline, its place in cadets and students’ training. Ways and meanings of goals and tasks achievement are also discussed in this paper. This article summarizes experience in “Special Tactical Science” discipline training according to the needs of law enforcement agencies and peculiarities of its studding. The authors talk about the unity in teachers’ approaches to subjects, scientific character, forms, means of education, knowledge and skills control. Much attention is given to interdisciplinary links while teaching the discipline. Recommendations that are given in the article allow to provide teachers with necessary methodic knowledge and implement it in education process so as to improve it, to give maximum of scientific systematize knowledge and develop necessary skills at a given time, to save continuation of teaching discipline, to cut back on the length of new teachers becoming.
