In the article the author establishes the place and role of such feature of a federal subject as its own governmental authorities. The place and role of the executive branch of the government in federal subjects in the state mechanism of a federal state are established. He describes the fundamental principles of the procedure of creation and exercise of the powers of such bodies of executive power of Volgograd region as: the governor and regional administration, their competence and interaction system with other public authorities of Volgograd region and government authorities of the Russian Federation. He outlines the fundamental principles of the inner structure organization of the executive power of Volgograd region and the system of internal action of the elements of this mechanism. He states the powers and authority matters both of separate bodies of the executive power of Volgograd region and of particular most important ones in the system of the state mechanism. He defines the place and role of the Governor and of the Administration of Volgograd region in the system of regional political and legal relationship.
