The article is dedicated to the exploration of means of law enforcement policy as one of the most important spheres of leagal policy of the modern Russian state. The attention is paid to the abscence of specialized works in this sphere. Means of law enforcement policy are considered as a complex category, which comprises both legal instruments (technologies) of the state regulation of law enforcement processes and the instruments of ideological and organizational origin. Taking this approach into account, it is suggested that one should understand the means of law enforcement policy as a combination of interconnected ideological, organizational and special legal instruments and technologies, which help to solve current issues in the sphere of law enforcement processes regulation as well as to reach long-term (strategic) political and legal aims. Depending on the character and purpose, the means of law enforcement policy can be divided into: common political (ideological); organizational and specialized legal. In its turn, the structure of organizational means is subdivided into methodical organizational and technical organizational means; the structure of legal means is subdivided into universal and special means.
