The problem of the convergence of the operative-search activities on the post-Soviet space is examined. The Modeling Law „On the operative-search activities“ adopted in the new version (enactment № 27-6 from 16 November 2006) which contains norms regulating the national operative-search legislation of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states is analyzed. The author suggests his own view of solving the current regulatory problems. Measures as to harmonize the operative-search legislation within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization are analyzed.
