The authors consider the significance of food in the context of the natural-science approach as necessary conditions of people’s life and health, distinguish general trends of humanitarian discourse (influence on human society development, philosophical reflection, culturological aspects, etc.), which are grounds for analysis of the phenomenon of food in terms of the national security concept. Special attention is paid to the analysis of food in the modern social cultural situation: at the level of everyday culture and national policy. The article deals with the analysis of the influence of globalization and its deflection if the field of economy and policy, as well as issues which are caused by introduction of food sanctions and their consequences. The authors provide priority directions of possible long term dangers, as well as external and internal risk factors of food safety. The article presents some measures for their overcoming, it is mentioned that it is necessary to realize food safety as a part of considered humanistic biopolitics for the efficient approach to modern food issues solving.
