The article is focused on the peculiar current issues of implementation of the procedural enforcement measure - property sequestration. Being an effective tool to ensure compensation for damage done by a crime commission this procedural enforcement measure has its features conditioned by the type of arrested (seized) property as well as terms and circumstances of this measure application. This article highlights issues of sequestration of monetary resources, real estate and also the property of accused person recognized as a bankrupt. The author describes the process of this procedural enforcement measure implementation in criminal proceedings, that hasn’t been exposed in detail in the relevant legislation. Furthermore, the issue of preservation of the property subject to sequestration is considered. The author pays attention to the facts that the way to ensure the property preservation hasn’t yet been developed and the application of criminal measures is ineffective.
