In prevention and suppression of terrorist acts it's particularly important to compile the suicide bomber's social and psychological portrait, analyze his conduct, character, etc. During professional service training it's necessary to examine the internal affairs bodies' activities considering their practical work so as to improve professional knowledge and skills helping to provide safety of the internal affairs personnel during implementation of operative tasks including fighting terrorism. The authors of the given article analyze the notion «profiling» which has been broadly used in recent times. It implies a set of psychological methods and techniques to evaluate and predict the person's conduct on the basis of the most informative particular features, characteristics of appearance, verbal and nonverbal conduct. Profiling is a system of measures directed at precise detection of persons involved into terrorist activity. It includes studying the passenger flow and interviewing suspicious persons. Psychological methods and automated systems are also used here.
