The article deals with the issues of criminal liability for involving a minor in the commission of extremist crimes. The disputable questions of interpreting the law connected with the qualification of this crime, the problem of its prevention, as well as the issues of delimitation of involving a minor in the crime of an extremist nature from adjacent compositions are being investigated. By the results of the study of the issues of liability for involving a minor in extremist crimes, it is noted that the main criminal law is Part 4 of Art. 150 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, in which it has been introduced since 2007 a special criminal liability for the commission of this crime based on the political, ideological, racial, ethnic or religious hatred or strife or on the grounds of hatred or strife towards any social group. This criminal law in its new edition significantly changed the legal nature of Art. 150 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, actually equating it to the compositions aimed at protecting the state power.
