The article discusses the influence of the culture of oral and written speech of the investigator on the preliminary investigation of criminal cases, the establishment of psychological contact with participants in criminal proceedings: victims, witnesses, suspects, accused, witnesses, etc. The culture of the oral and written speech of the investigator is one of the most important conditions for its qualitative conduct. It is based on the use of precise, understandable, appropriate literary norms and speech situation of language means. In order to establish contact with participants in investigative actions, to exert psychological influence on them, to induce persons to a certain behavior, expressiveness and emotionality of speech are required. Statements using various expressive means of language have a more persuasive impact than stylistically neutral messages. Recommendations are offered that make it possible to conduct investigative actions most effectively.
