The article is devoted to the peculiarities of disclosing and investigating crimes in the retail sale of alcohol products to minors, the effectiveness of investigation of which depends on the skillful use by police officers of the knowledge of their operational investigative and forensic characteristics. Recommendations are given on the organization and conduct of inspection activities, including test purchasing operations, when law enforcement agencies receive information on commission of the act in question. In case of confirmation of the information received at the initial stage of the investigation, the scene of the incident is inspected, objects are inspected, documents are inspected, and video records are examined. According to the authors, one of the most informative investigative actions in investigating the retail sale of alcoholic beverages to minors is interrogation. A comprehensive consideration of the recommendations proposed in the article will help improve the quality of the investigation of crimes of this category. However, the main goal of the state policy in this area should be reducing the demand for alcohol among the population of our country.
