The authors of the article describe the mechanism of implementing a criminal scheme for illicit drug trafficking carried out by organized groups, taking into account general and specific features of these groups. A complex system of functions at all levels of the hierarchical structure of drug-related groups, from the highest to the lowest level, is considered. The article presents basic techniques and methods of committing illicit trafficking in drugs and psychotropic substances carried out by organized groups using the Internet, payment terminals and cellular communications. Having studied the practical material the authors analyze methods of extreme conspiracy developed by organizers of drug-related groups. The elements of the criminalistic characteristic acting as an informative model of a specific type or group of crimes being logically connected with each other help suggest leads in a criminal case so as to plan detective activities and investigative actions necessary for collecting evidence. On the basis of presented material the authors come to the conclusion that information on the mechanism of implementing a criminal scheme for illicit drug trafficking in a non-contact manner is of practical importance.
