Abstract:
This article provides a systematic and comprehensive analysis of the legal and regulatory documents governing the circulation of weapons in the Russian Federation. The focus is on the legal status and characteristics of the category of combined weapons, which is often subject to ambiguous interpretations in modern legal and expert practice. In addition, the article compares different approaches to defining this category and identifies its distinctive design and functional features that distinguish it from other types of small arms and hunting weapons. Special attention is paid to the lack of clarity and gaps in the current regulatory formulations, which makes it difficult to apply them in law enforcement and expert practice. Based on this analysis, proposals are formulated to clarify and specify the concept under consideration, which will help to improve the quality of legal proceedings.
