Abstract:
The current state of crime is characterized by an increase in crimes of varying severity, including crimes against the person, against property and public safety. One of the strategic resources of modern society is criminally significant information. The effectiveness of disclosure and investigation in criminal cases of these categories requires the constant collection, systematization, analysis and use of significant amounts of criminally significant information about criminally relevant events, persons, objects and traces of crimes. To solve the problem of information and reference support for the disclosure, investigation and prevention of crimes, it is necessary to constantly improve the system-structural and functional potential of the current forensic registration system. An analysis of the current regulatory legal framework at the departmental level showed that the strategy for the development of the forensic registration system has not yet been determined. This circumstance gives grounds for developing key approaches to determining the directions of medium and longterm development of the forensic registration system. The study identifies a set of elements of a strategy for the development of a forensic registration system, the implementation of which will increase the effectiveness of both teachings and practical activities. The study addressed the problems of improving the system of information and reference support for the detection, investigation and prevention of crimes in terms of organizational, methodological, tactical and technical-forensic issues, related to the processing of criminally relevant information on crime events.
