The concept related to the formula "domestic criminal procedure" is of great value for the science of criminal procedure. It is both dogmatic and heuristic. The heuristic potential of this concept is revealed within the scientific field "Typology of domestic criminal court proceedings". This is the application of a typology approach to the concept of domestic criminal court proceedings, which is in the stage of methodological development and testing. The article raises the issue whether there can be such a scientific field as typology, and precisely one of domestic criminal procedure? According to the author's opinion, the typological approach in its heuristic de-velopment should lead to the conclusion that the concept of "domestic criminal procedure" can be considered as a "typological concept". The type of criminal procedure is not only a theoretical concept, but also an empirical one. In the context of this hypothesis, the type of criminal proceedings is not abstracted by theorists, but usually appears in a separate country. This concept does not simply describe some criminal procedure, but is a method of its research and design.
