In this article, the author analyzes various ethical principles contained in the current Codes of Ethics for Civil Servants and representatives of the legal professions, the main purpose of which is to respect the rule of law and strengthen public confidence in the government and the judiciary. The author has attempted to systematize them according to the developed directions for: government experts of various expert institutions; persons exercising justice and law enforcement supervision; as well as employees of law enforcement agencies and law enforcement agencies. It has been established that the Codes under consideration differ in their legal force: some of which are mandatory and have been fixed in legislation, while the rest, called model codes, serve as a recommendation for performers. Based on the studied documents, it is proposed to create a Model Code of Ethics for a Judicial Expert of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, which will reflect the ethical principles outlined in this work aimed at regulating his professional activities.
