Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The article is a continuation of a series of publications on the personality traits of thieves in law. The research material was the personal data and fingerprint cards of 24 criminals (all males, representatives of the peoples of Transcaucasia and the North Caucasus - Armenians, Kurds, Azerbaijanis et al.). The methods of chronobiology, fingerprinting, forensic anthropology and mathematical statistics were used. It was found that the majority of the surveyed persons were born in the spring, during the years of increasing solar activity. Initiation into thief in law took place, as a rule, at a young age. The number of convictions ranged from 1 to 8. Death in half of the cases occurred prematurely, as a result of violent causes (gunshot injury, etc.). The frequency of occurrence of curl patterns in fingerprints was reduced (p < 0,05) against the background of an increase in the frequency of occurrence of arcs and radial loops (compared with the average population data). In addition, scars and white dots were very common. Based on a comparative analysis of the obtained data with the features characteristic of thieves in law of Georgian nationality, the group characteristics of this category of criminals are established, independent of ethnic and territorial affiliation, manifested at the social and biological levels of personality organization, in innate (determining predisposition to delinquency) and acquired characteristics.
