TECHNICAL AND FORENSIC SUPPORT OF CRIMINAL PROSECUTION BODIES: CURRENT STATE AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract:
In the era of consolidation of joint efforts of the CIS countries, the EurAsEC Customs Union, and the establishment of common interstate borders, a particularly relevant area is the study of problems of theory and practice in various spheres of public life, as well as making constructive decisions on them. One of these areas is the technical and forensic support of criminal prosecution authorities. Taking into account the current problems of domestic legislation, law enforcement and legal science, this work, with an emphasis on domestic strategic documents, provides a brief overview of the digital development of law enforcement and judicial authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the current state of technical and forensic support for the activities of pre-trial authorities in the disclosure and investigation of criminal cases, starting with traditional forms of criminology and up to high technologies that determine the subject of the study. The main goal is to develop theoretical foundations and practical recommendations on the problematic issues raised in the work. The methodological basis of the work consists of general scientific and private scientific methods of cognition of socio-legal phenomena, normative-logical, systemic, functional and retrospective analysis. Based on the results of the work, the author, from a scientific and law enforcement point of view, reveals modern megatrend technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of things, makes proposals on promising possibilities for their use in the technical and forensic support of the activities of criminal prosecution authorities during investigative actions. Summarizing the above-stated, the author notes a positive trend in the use of new technologies, coupled with the need to solve scientific, technical and material issues of ensuring the proposed innovations.
