The subject of this work is the actual data obtained during an empirical study of the possibilities of using the morphological features of smoked sticks to identify tobacco heating systems, which will optimize existing methods for identifying tobacco heating systems. The aim of the work was to elucidate the possibility of determining the tobacco heating system by the traces of smoking on a tobacco stick, as well as the possibility of tracking and analyzing the nature and sequence of the formation of traces. When conducting empirical studies, organoleptic and morphological methods, the method of expert experiment were used. As part of this work, expert experiments were carried out, during which tobacco sticks were used NEO, HEETS, WINSTON, FIIT and devices for heating them: IQOS, GLO, PLOOM, lil SOLID. As a result of the studies, it was found that the traces found on the sticks under study make it possible to identify tobacco heating systems with a high degree of certainty and can be used in the practice of internal affairs bodies in the suppression of illicit trafficking in tobacco products and tobacco heating systems.
