SOCIO-BIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PERSONALITY OF THIEVES IN LAW OF GEORGIAN NATIONALITY
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
For the first time in Russian criminology and forensic medicine, the article presents the socio-biological characteristics of the personality of thieves in law (using the example of persons of Georgian nationality). Fingerprint cards of 21 criminals served as the research material. The methods of anthropology, fingerprinting, sociology, chronobiology and mathematical statistics were used. It was found that most of the thieves in law had surnames ending in -dze (Imeretinsky) and -iya (Megrelian), were born from the spring-summer period. The age at which the criminals were "crowned" was from 18 to 41 years old. Death occurred between the ages of 24 and 65, with violent causes of death prevailing. The frequency of curl pattern types was increased in fingerprints (p < 0,05). White lines of a strong degree of severity were relatively rare. The data obtained indicate that the thieves in law have common group traits of personality accentuation. The results of the study can be used in the formation of a forensic portrait of the criminal's personality.
