Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The article considers the possibilities of supplementing limited information about the appearance of a person's face captured in photos, video images with the help of an analytical drawing for its further use in the search for criminals. In the operational and investigative practice of the internal affairs agencies of capturing and using information about the appearance of a person, new digital photos and video means of fixing it have been developed and are constantly being improved. The digital images of a person's face obtained with their help have become the main objects that are used in the search for criminals and the production of portrait studies. However, criminals often close (camouflage) when committing crimes individual parts of the face with hats, scarves, masks and other items of clothing. In practice, when studying and researching such information about a person's appearance captured on digital photos and video images and other media, employees of forensic and operational units face certain difficulties in using it in the search and identification of criminals. The authors of the article propose options (algorithms) for supplementing limited information about a person's face to its full volume using an analytical method of drawing it and its further use in the fight against crime.
