One of the types of identificational traceological examinations is examination of traces left by tools used in breaking and entering. The main purpose of these examinations is identification of any trace left by tools used for breaking and entering, which is discovered during the crime scene search or a questioned tool seized on a suspect. The range of the objects studied is rather varied as well as the range of questions resolved by the forensic scientist. The article presents techniques and methodologies of forensic examination which permit to get additional criminalistic important information for providing more efficient crime investigation.
