The authors analyze the current legislation regulating the order of receiving an electronic form of report of a crime. The article focuses on the results of the enquiry conducted with investigators, chiefs of investigative bodies and inquest agencies. The insufficient legal regulation of the order of forwarding and receiving an electronic form of report of a crime is revealed.
