The article represents the theoretical analysis of correlation of such concepts as “professionally applied physical training” and “professionally applied physical education” in higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Interior of Russia. The authors offer an alternative way to form professionally applied physical training as the pedagogical process built on the basis of a model purpose-oriented approach.
