The article focuses on the grounds for insurance payout on the notary’s civil liability insurance contract. The author studies the correlation of such notions as “insured loss” and “grounds for civil liability”. She comes to a conclusion that an unlawful act committed by the notary can serve as grounds for his liability. The unlawfulness of the notary’s act should be related to the violation of the victim’s subjective rights.
