TRAINING OF VERBAL COMMUNICATION IN NONNATIVE LANGUAGE IN THE CONTEXT OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION

Abstract (English):
The article deals with topical issues of formation of communicative and socio-cultural competence in the process of teaching non-native language in educational institutions of higher education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. It shows close relationship and interdependence between the different components of communicative language competence, as well as their influence on the formation of professional skills of verbal communication. In particular, it reveals the content of linguistic, pragmatic and sociolinguistic components of the language competence. The author points out the peculiarity in formation of verbal communication skills in different types of speech and notes their dependence on the characteristics of the language of the students. The article provides an analysis of the most frequent situations of linguistic interference and the ways of overcoming language and cultural barriers of communication. The author describes models of verbal behavior that encourage trainees to adapt to the conditions of oral and written communication in nonnative language in the educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
