A problem of definition of essential characteristics of such a complex physical man quality as coordination was considered in this article. Despite the fact that this quality has a decisive influence on the quality and time of learning new actions and their improvement, the concept of «coordination abilities» still insufficient disclosure. This complicates the development of new methods of coordination abilities education. A theoretical analysis and review of the literature research of Russian and foreign experts, as well as authors’ teaching experience there was developed a new characteristic of «coordination abilities» concept. It was obtained by means of multivariate analysis of pedagogical, psychological and physiological processes. On this basis there can be developed modern methods of coordination abilities education that allow law enforcement officers to work more effectively.
